Villa Jembantani

Villa Jembantani is a collection of three two-bedroom villas in Kedungu, Bali, commissioned by Swiss developers. Designed with a contemporary interpretation of local vernacular architecture, the project balances generous communal spaces with clearly defined private areas. A strong biophilic approach blurs the boundary between indoors and outdoors, using integrated vegetation, natural ventilation, and daylight optimization to create a comfortable tropical microclimate. A central wooden core with a bridging element connects the bedrooms to the communal level, structuring circulation while extending toward the pool deck as a sheltered gathering space.

Curiosity is not a Sin

Curiosity is not a Sin proposes a sustainable alternative to tourism-driven accommodation in Bali through compact 25 m² micro-units designed for tropical living. Elevated on stilts and embedded within the rice field landscape, the units minimize land impact while allowing agriculture to continue beneath. Targeted at young creative professionals, the project avoids tourist enclaves by fostering interaction between residents, locals, and nature. A central multifunctional core organizes daily living, while generous openings encourage indoor–outdoor living, natural ventilation, and daylight. Built from locally sourced regenerative materials, the project offers a scalable model for low-impact, community-oriented living in tropical environments.

House Lita

Drawing from local architecture and the atmosphere of a Berlin loft, the L-shaped home steps with the natural topography and is organized around a central circulation axis that separates private and communal spaces. Tropical design principles enhance daylight, ventilation, and indoor–outdoor living, opening the house toward a private garden and sunset views.
